Barnardo’s, the national children’s charity, has opened a new childcare centre PLAYHOUSE
for children aged from 2 to 12 years old on the site of the former Funbase club on Gunthorpe Road.
Before and after-school activities have already started and there are plans to begin ‘early years’ activities for 2 to 4 year olds from January 2018.
The holiday club will operate from the October half term break this year.
The price per hour for the before and after school provision is £3.50 for the first child and £3.20 for brothers and sisters.
The cost for the holiday club will be £19.50 per day per child.

It is great to see this facility brought back into use to help local youngsters and families.
It would not have happened if local people had not campaigned to make the council take action.
